April 2026 Newsletter

Welcome

Welcome to the Casey Commission’s second edition of our monthly newsletter series, where we keep you updated on what the team has been doing and ways you can get involved.

This follows our previous newsletter, which we published after Baroness Casey’s speech at the Nuffield Trust Summit on Thursday 5 March 2026.

The Commission received a significant amount of correspondence from people who had followed speech and wanted to share their thoughts and experiences. We are very grateful to everyone took the time to get in touch.

If you would like to share your views, on the speech or on our work more widely, the best way to do so is via our website

Please note we will be reviewing this form in June 2026, so there are only a couple of months left to share your experiences in the current way. There will still be opportunities to share your feedback in the future, and we will keep you updated about new ways to have your say.

Please see below for an overview of what we have been working on over the past month.

Looking ahead: What’s next?

Next month (May 2026), the Commission will hold its second round of cross-party discussions, with Baroness Casey chairing a session including representatives from the Labour, Conservative, Liberal Democrat, Green, and Reform UK parties.

This follows a series of visits the Commission has made to meet with MPs from each of these political parties in their constituencies to discuss local and national concerns around adult social care.

The next edition of the newsletter will include more information about these cross-party discussions.

Thank you for reading the second edition of our newsletter.
