If you have been affected by any of the issues raised by the work of the Adult Social Care Commission, you may find the following organisations helpful.

  • Carers UKInformation, advice and support for unpaid carers.
  • Age UKAdvice and information for older people, including care, benefits and later life.
  • MindInformation and support for anyone experiencing a mental health problem.
  • SamaritansEmotional support, available 24 hours a day. Call 116 123 free from any phone.
  • Cruse Bereavement SupportInformation and support for anyone who has been bereaved.
  • NHS Social Care and Support GuideInformation about care and support, carers’ rights, needs assessments, advocacy and finding local services.

Please note that the Independent Commission on Adult Social Care does not formally endorse these organisations.

This list is not exhaustive, and there may be other organisations that can offer support. If you need help finding appropriate services, you can speak to your GP or Local Authority can offer you information about services available in your area.
